กิจกรรม Date Fri 18 Febuary 2022 Trade Competition Commission of Thailand (TCCT) attended a policy conference on a guideline for cooperation and data exchange between the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA)

On Friday, 18th February 2022, the Trade Competition Commission of Thailand (TCCT), led by Mr. Somsak Kiatchailak, Secretary-General of the Trade Competition Commission, along with staff from Political Affairs Division, Competition System Development Division, Foreign Affairs Division, and Measures and Contracts Division, attended a policy conference on a guideline for cooperation and data exchange between the TCCT and Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) at Conference Room 308, with Dr. Chaichana Mitrpant, Deputy Executive Director of ETDA and Dr. Sak Segkhoonthod, Advisor and Acting Deputy Executive Director of ETDA, as well as others, attending the conference.

The conference aims to discuss on policy regarding cooperation and data exchange between the OTCC and Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) under six cooperation frameworks: 1. Data exchange, 2. Trade competition law enforcement, 3. Publication and public announcement, 4. Staff development, 5. Research and academic work, 6. International cooperation.

Both agencies shall further convene to set agenda for a memorandum of understanding for the aforementioned frameworks which shall be agreed in the future.

 
กิจกรรม Date Fri 18 Febuary 2022 TCCT was honored to host the APEC Competitive Policy and Experts Group (APEC) Conference.

On Friday, 18th February 2022, APEC Competitive Policy and Experts Group (APEC) Conference hosted an online conference at The Sukosol Bangkok. The Office of the Trade Competition Commission (OTCC) was honored to be the host of this conference, with Mr. Kritsada Piampongsan, Deputy Chairman of the OTCC, as the conference chairperson. Representatives from 19 APEC member states: Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Canada, Chile, China, Hongkong, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taipei, Thailand and the United States also attended the meeting. Prof. Dr. Sakon Waranyuwattana, Chairman of the Trade Competition Commission, welcomed attendees to the conference with emphasis on more proactive actions on behalf of trade competition regulating bodies to promote free and fair competition as the economy is recovering.

    Furthermore, there was a discussion “Trade competition in digital markets” aiming to identify the need to improve potential of trade competition regulating bodies and elevate trade competition regulation in digital markets, with attendees coming from New Zealand, Japan, the Philippines and Russia, along with the OECD.
